Junior Infants have been learning a lot about weather this month. We did a fun experiment to see which material would make the best rain coat. Look at us using our science skills to predict, observe, test and record our results! This week was the start of Creative Fortnight in school and we have had so much fun being creative. We painted rocks with our favourite colours. First, we made a sketch of what we would like to put on our rocks. Next, we took out our paints and we got creative! 😃✨ Finally, we checked out our amazing art work. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled as we will be putting these around our school as part of the Student Council's initiative "Our School Rocks"! We had lots of fun printing shapes and using paint! We used items from around the room to print and to create some amazing artwork. It did get a little messy but we had so much fun exploring! We made a display of all our artwork. Take a look! Junior Infants have been busy learning about 2D shapes. We went on a 2D shape hunt, drew shapes, made pictures with 2D shapes and we even made some faces with 2D shapes. Check out our work! This week we have ben learning all about our school, Citywest Educate Together. We watched Caitríona, our principal, bring us on a virtual tour of the school. We then went on a walk outside. We were super in our line and kept the distance between our pods. Look! We found our school's name. Some Junior Infants thought it was a great adventure! Today we learned that our classroom is special. It was once the school library!
How cool is that? We shared and read some books from our own classroom library. It was so much fun and so relaxing! We are building up our finger strength in preparation for writing. We had fun rolling playdough, playing with pegboards, and making marks on our whiteboards. |
